It does not matter how many votes are for or against. All is needed is one man with a conscience and he has appeared. Rep. David Obey of Wisconsin, Chairman of the House Appropriations Committee said recently (NYT, Oct. 3, 2007) that he has no intention to report a supplemental bill for $200 billion out of his committee to maintain the status quo in Iraq. It is over. The war is over. No supplemental. No war. It does not matter what the Senate does. It does not matter how many votes are for or against.

All is needed is one man with a conscience and he has appeared.
