Torture and voting are two serious issues the Democrats have fallen down on. Gonzales has said that the Geneva accords are “quaint” and he gave evasive virtual non-answers to the Senate last week when responding to serious allegations of supporting torture.
The Democrats are in the minority, but they have an opportunity to send a signal vote here.
